Termites are wood destroying pests. That means that they can severely damage your property and prevent the sale of your home. We work with home and business owners to get these pests taken care of conveniently and as soon as possible.

How Do I Know If I Have Termites?

A Termite Inspection is always required when treating for termites. However, it is important to do a little sleuthing of your own to better equip you against these pests.

  • Termites swarm when they mate, typically during the spring time when it is warm. Termites on Spring Break, huh?
  • Termite infestations produce destroyed wood on your property. Termite damage can take years to notice
  • Any infestation with leave behind traces of frass, otherwise known at termite feces, in the form of small piles of pellets. Most describe frass as looking like sawdust.
  • Mud Tunnels. Termites construct small tubes of dirt to travel between their food source and the colony.
  • Sagging floors, ceilings and walls. Since the insides of these structures are being eaten, the exterior parts will distort and show signs of damage.
  • Termites eat wood from the inside out. if you notice hollowed out sections in your home, this could be evidence of termites.

Treatment Options

There are 2 primary categories of termites here in Southern California: Drywood Termites and Subterranean Termites. We are able to treat for both, and both have similar treatment options, but the treatments themselves are carried out with different methods.

Fumigation

Our first recommendation is always a full fumigation. Fumigations provide a definite 100% guarantee of a full knockdown of your termite infestation. All dry wood termite fumigations come equipped with a full 3 year guarantee. Fumigation is definitely the most effective of your options, but we do recognize that this is not an option for some households.

Full Treatment

A full treatment includes treatment of the entire infested area using primarily foam and liquid based products. The trained professional treats the local area where the infestation is most prominent, as well as all possible entry points and the perimeter of the structure. This ensures maximum coverage and protection for your property.

Local Treatment

With a local treatment, the technician will treat the specific infested area. A few examples would be a balcony, support beam, garage door or a specific wall. A local treatment is perfect for homes that need to get a minor issue taken care of or for those put off by the idea of a full fumigation.
